Bevagna is a town of 4,794 inhabitants in the province of Perugia, once known for its valuable paintings that were produced, so as to be called "bevagne" Bevagna is a small town in the province of Perugia, in the middle of Umbria. It has ancient origins because we think was originally a village Etruscan, then fell under the Roman domination by the name of Mevania, which perhaps comes from a noble Etruscan of the place. There are still significant traces of Roman presence in the urban fabric. Besides the general structure of the city, developed around the cardoon and decumanus of the settlement, still the Roman baths, decorated with splendid mosaics, an amphitheatre, which were built medieval houses, a column that makes beautiful exhibition of whether to centre of main square and some architectural remains in churches in the city.
