Trivia: signs stradaleLa fraction Bastardo (290 m above sea level) has developed especially after the war, and now represents the most populated and industrialized of the municipality (according to ISTAT figures, 2001 census counts 1,549 residents).
The original name, Osteria del Bastardo, was due to the uncertain born manager of an a post office along the Via Flaminia. Over the years'20 was shortened in the curious form today. As early as 1933, however, they began to feel the need to change the name of the country: among those offered, even in later years, Villa Romana, Termoelettropoli or Lignilia. None of these attempts was successful: nowadays, especially among younger people, the popularity of the country's name is high.
The area is also known for the presence of thermo "Pietro Vannucci," in the territory overlooking Gualdo Cattaneo. It consists of two sections steam from 75 MW, powered by coal and fuel oil and entered into service in 1967. Today they are constantly exploited and a full load. The cooling of the case with the towers but do not use water from springs cold. Given the presence of swallows that nest in the structure, the plant was nicknamed "Central swallows."
In the village are several sports facilities such as swimming pool, football fields, tennis courts and a gymnasium suitable for volleyball, basketball and judo.
