The Parco del Lago Trasimeno was established in 1995 with the aim to protect an area of high value natural, historical and artistic as that of Lake Trasimeno and the municipalities of its territory. This park is the largest which is seen in the region which also includes three islands which are the Polvese Island, the Isle Major and Minor Island. The Fishermen are the true characters of Trasimeno, which have always sfidanto with their boats the most terrible gales then are the true guardians of the secrets of this particular place.
