The Parco del Monte Cucco is a natural protected area which is located on the border north-east in the Umbria region and includes 6 municipalities that are part of the province of Perugia. The area is characterized by very small historic centres minors who are rich in cultural and artistic exhibits. You can also practice many winter sports like Gliders, cross-country skiing and trekking. In the woods of the park are many protected species like the wolf and probably the wild cat, deer, wild boar, porcupine, marten and the hare. There are also some examples of golden eagle as well as the falcon, starna, coturnice, the real owl, kingfisher. While high in parts of watercourses live together with the shrimp sea trout river.
